This past week end Abby and I had the opportunity to travel to the city of Morelia in Michuacan, MX. This was the site of the 2009 conference for the Baptist Student Groups of Mexico (Congresso National Minesterio Estudiantil). It was really cool to meet leaders and students from across the country who are engaged in the same type of work that we are. There were good teaching sessions, worship times, and workshops. One of the highlights was Mark Wakefield, a missionary working with troubled youth in Guatemala. He was full of energy, passion and great advice/teaching. It was tiring...the schedule was full and those rare 30min breaks just didn't always get it done, but we are glad to have had the opportunity to be a part of CONAMIES '09.
