A couple of months ago when we were playing the Spanish version of Family Feud - "Cien Mexicanos Dijeron" I was totally baffled when I missed the question "Name a way that people waste water". My answer was long showers. Not on the list. Are you kidding? What was the #1 answer? Washing the street. uhhh...what? Yes, Mexicans do this. They take a bucket and a broom and wash the street in front of their houses. Makes perfect sense here!
Today I went to the dentist to get 2 cavities filled - not fun. But what was fun was walking to the dentist's office on a sunny day and then swapping recipes with my dentist (after the dental work was done - simultaneous talking and dental work is one of my pet peeves). So, apparently my dentist really wants to learn how to make banana bread!
So we have a team coming in tonite from VA. Four awesome guys from Aletheia Hburg - Cameron, Paul, Dereck, and Halterman. We are excited that they will be with us for a few days, helping us not to check out early :o)
We are also excited that Jose Antonio from Tapachula has finally made the move to Tuxtla and is going to be heading up the ministry here! God has definitely provided us with a QUALITY leader and friend in Tony.
That's all for now...more updates to come!
