Hey Everybody! It's blog time! I (Abby) got inspired to blog this afternoon after reading some updates by our friends who came from TAMPA to TUXTLA to visit us last week.
We had an awesome time with the following brave souls who made it down here to help us out:
Dave & Chippy
Aaron & Ashlee (and Drew & Asher)

Angela
Seth
Jessica
Chad
JR
Alison
Special props to Pastor Dave who wins the frequent flyer award b/c he has been here THREE times now and survived an attempted sacrifice by J.R. at some ruins in Chiapa de Corzo.

Everyone helped in their own way, even the babies. English class presentations, on-campus evangelism, Game Night, Rocking out at the Worship Party, site seeing, connecting with people in parks, plazas, mall, and restaurants, it was a great week! For us, the highlight of the visit was seeing some old friends and making some new ones. It is so nice to have other American brothers and sisters in Christ around! They encouraged us with their goofiness and their hard work. And by goofiness let me just point out this picture of Seth and Chad singing Karaoke - exhibit A.

I want to say a big Thank-you to Ashlee for the heart-to-heart talks about life as a church-planter and motherhood in general. And a big thank you to everyone for your positive attitudes.
We were able to invite a lot of people to come out for church at our new time and place - on a college campus (UVG) at 1pm Sunday. The place is a total hook-up - we couldn't be more excited about it (we even have AC!) and we are hoping to fill the ample spaciousness up with STUDENTS! Please pray that we can fill the auditorium with young people who are searching for Truth - because we are confident that if they come they will not only find an awesome message from the Word, inspiring music, and friendly faces that welcome them in, but an encounter with the living God that loves them enough to lay down his life for their salvation.
Thanks for your prayers! As we launch this semester we are excited about the possibilities, but we realize that we're short on time. The countdown to coming home to VA is on: only eight weeks left. So, we are trying to make the most of every opportunity.
