Well the influenza really has things shut down here in Queretaro. With schools being closed, public events being canceled and everyone advised to stay with their families, we decided to take a little break of our own and head to the beach. Ixtapa is one of the closest beaches to us and though the drive was 6.5 hours valio la pena (it was worth it)! Our friend Sergio went along with us but unfortunately several other friends weren't able to go along as planned. We prayed that God would provide us with some opportunities to share Christ with others during our time there and to have good conversation with Sergio about ministry. Both of these things happened as we met a student from Queretaro there and his brother who will be coming to Queretaro to study this fall. Abby and I were able to share with them and invite them to the La Busqueda Bible study that meets in Queretaro.
