We had an amazing end to November with the team from Aletheia Harrisonburg that sacrificially gave up their Thanksgiving break to help us here in Tuxtla.

Some highlights from the trip were:
Feeding 59 students and 4 teachers a completely authentic Thanksgiving meal. Well, the sweet potato pie didn't have a crust, but other than that it was completely authentic!
Sharing the message of salvation with tons of students on three different college campuses

Having our biggest Sunday night church service to date!
Getting an impromptu marimba lesson at Tec
Playing late night games of spades and Dutch Blitz and while finishing off the leftover turkey which was a bit dry. . .
Being tourists and totally freezing our tails off in San Cristobal - it actually got cold! Good thing Mike bought an enormous poncho that Chippy got to wrap up in. We also got to feed some very sweet children that were selling there wares in the street.
Spending a week with 6 servants of Christ. Dave, Chip, Mike, Alison, Chelsea and Katie all pitched in to make the mission trip successful. We really appreciated how they were willing to wash dishes, socialize til the wee hours with our Mexican friends, eat strange foods, and share the message with so many people.
Now that the team is back in the US, the semester is coming to a close, and Christmas vaca is on the, we are wrapping things up, no pun intended! We're counting down the days til we'll be back with family and friends in VA. We can almost taste the home cooking! For both Mark and I this is the longest we've been away from home, so it will be a sweet reunion. . .
We are also counting down the days til we find out if our little one is a boy or a girl! On December 11, we have an ultrasound appt. and hopefully we'll be able to find out. But don't expect an update right away - we want to break the news in person to many of you, so you'll just have to wait!
